Like Ethiopia, Sumatra has a rich history steeped in coffee. Mandheling specifically is grown near the island of Java, the origin of the term "java." This coffee has a sweet, dark, floral aroma. It is dry tasting while at the same time offering extremely heavy body. The taste is thick, with hints of maple syrup and black licorice. Dark roast. Fair Trade Organic.
